NOTICE OF SUSPENSION WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)

Case Nos. 15-65-AI; 15-79-JC Notice Issued: February 19,2016 James R. lancaster, Jr., P 38567, lansing, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham Count Hearing Panel #7.

1. Suspension - 179 Days 2. Effective June 10, 2015. 1 Respondent pleaded guilty to Operating While Intoxicated, 3rd offense, in violation of MCl 257.6251-A, a felony, in the Clinton County Circuit Court. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on June 10, 2015, the date he pleaded guilty.

On December 17, 2015, the parties filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline which contained respondent's admission that he was convicted of operating while intoxicated, 3rd offense, in violation of MCl 257.5251-A, a felony, in the matter titled People v James Robert Lancaster Jr, 29th Circuit Court Case No. 15-0090401-FH. The panel found that respondent's conduct violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, in violation of MCR 9.104(5).

Based upon the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 179 days, retroactive to June 10, 2015, as stipulated by the parties. Additionally, the panel ordered that respondent shall be subject to conditions relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $859.24.
