NOTICE OF DISBARMENT AND RESTITUTION Case Nos. 14-46-GA; 14-47-JC Notice Issued: October 29,2014

1. Disbarment 2. Effective October 22, 2014' Respondent did not appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for failing to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on respondent's default, the hearing panel found that respondent. in six separate matters, neglected his clients' matters, in violation of MRPC 1.1 (c); failed to seek his clients' lawful objectives, in violation of MRPC 1.2(a); failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing his clients, in violation of MRPC 1.3; failed to adequately

communicate with his clients, in violation of MRPC 1.4(a) and (b); and failed to refund unearned fees upon termination of the representation, in violation of MRPC 1.16(d). In two of those matters, respondent knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal, in violation of MRPC 3.4(c); and, in the second of these two matters, respondent failed to provide competent representation to his client, in violation of MRPC 1.1; and failed to return documents belonging to the client upon termination of the representation, in violation of MRPC 1.16(d). Additionally, respondent failed to respond to lawful demands for information from a disciplinary authority, in violation of MRPC 8.1 (a)(2); and failed to timely answer a request for investigation, and failed to file answers to five other requests for investigation, in violation of MCR 9.104(7) and MCR 9.113(B)(2). Finally, the panel found that respondent violated MRPC 8.4(a) and (c); and MCR 9.104(1)-(5)

The panel ordered that respondent be disbarred from the practice of law in Michigan and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $9,408.60. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,817.18.
