NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

Case No. 13-98-JC Notice Issued: February 27, 2014

Josephine A. Powell, P 28285, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri­ County Hearing Panel #54. 1. Suspension - 4 Years 2. Effective February 26,2014 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance

Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contained the respondent's admission that she had been convicted of theft of government property, a misdemeanor, in violation of 18 USC §641, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Case No. 12CR20452-1. The panel found that respondent had committed professional misconduct that violated the criminal laws of the State of Michigan, in violation of MCR 9.104(5).

In accordance with the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for four years. Costs were assessed in the

amount of $964.12.
