Transfer to Inactive Status
Effective May 6, 2013
On March 7, 2013, the Grievance Administrator filed a petition to transfer respondent to inactive status based on his arrest for cocaine-related criminal charges.
The matter was assigned to Kent County Hearing Panel #5, and, on May 6,2013, the panel issued an order granting the Grievance Administrator's petition, in part. The panel ordered that respondent could continue to represent a client in a murder trial, subject to specific conditions. For all other matters, though, respondent's license to practice law in Michigan has been transferred to inactive status, pending further order of the panel or the Board.
