NOTICE OF DISBARMENT WITH CONDITION Case No. 13-4-GA Notice Issued: October 21,2013

Peter C. Mason, Jr., P 24259, Okemos, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board, increasing discipline from a two-year suspension to disbarment.

1. Disbarred 2. Effective June 1, 2013 Respondent appeared at the hearing but was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on respondent's default and his admissions during the hearing, the panel found that respondent, in two matters, failed to hold property of clients or third persons separate from the lawyer's own property, in violation of MRPC 1.15(d); and MRPC 8.4(a) and (b); and MCR 9.104(2)-(4). The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years and that he be subject to a condition relevant to the established misconduct.

The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review and, on September 17, 2013, the Attorney Discipline Board issued its order and opinion increasing discipline to disbarment. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $2,124.71.
