James M. Hunt, P 24243, Traverse City, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Grand Traverse County Hearing Panel #2.
1. Reprimand 2. Effective July 6, 2012 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contains respondent's admission that he was convicted of failure to file income tax returns, in violation of 26 USC ยง7203, a misdemeanor, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Based on respondent's admission, the panel found that respondent had committed misconduct that violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(5).
Pursuant to the agreement of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $793.25.
