NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION (By Consent)

Case No. 11-26-GA Notice Issued: November 17, 2011

Bradley J. Hobbs, P 59534, Royal Oak, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #68.

1. Suspension - 30 Days 2. Effective November 17, 2011 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney

Grievance Commission and was accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contains respondent's plea of no contest to the allegations that he neglected a legal matter; failed to act with

reasonable diligence and promptness; failed to keep his client reasonably informed about the status of a matter; failed to refund any advance payment of fee that had not bee earned upon termination of representation; knowingly failed to respond to a lawful demand for information from a disciplinary authority; failed to appear at a sworn statement; failed to timely provide a copy of his client file; failed to timely answer a request for investigation in one matter; and failed to answer a request for investigation in another matter.

Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1.16(d); 8.1(a)(2); and

8.4(a) and (c).

Pursuant to the agreement of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 30 days and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $2,750.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $834.06.
