NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION (Pending Appeal)

Case No. 10-121-GA Notice Issued: August 16, 2011 Edward A. Schneider, P 30628, Dearborn, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #15.

1. Suspension - Two Years and a Half Years 2. Effective August 13, 2011 Based on respondent's admissions, and the testimony and exhibits presented at the public hearings, the panel found that respondent had committed professional misconduct when he failed to promptly pay funds that his client was entitled to receive, and failed to promptly render a full accounting upon request by his client, in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(3); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15(b)(3); and 8.4(b) and (c).

The panel ordered the respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years and a half years, and that he pay restitution in the amount of $12,000.00.

The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review, seeking an increase in discipline, and respondent has filed a cross-petition for review, seeking a decrease in discipline. The matter will be scheduled for hearing before the Attorney Discipline Board.
