NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 11-21-GA Notice Issued: August 1, 2011

1. Suspension - One Year 2. Effective July 30, 2011 Respondent did not appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for failing to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on respondent's default, the panel found that respondent, neglected a legal matter; failed to seek the lawful objectives of his client; failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness; failed to keep his client reasonably informed about the status of their matter; knowingly made false statements of material fact to a third person in the course of representing a client; knowingly failed to respond to a lawful demand for information from a disciplinary authority; and failed to answer the request for investigation in conformity with MCR 9.113.

Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(4) and (7); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a); 4.1; 8.1 (a)(2); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for one year and assessed costs in the amount of $2,043.17.
