NOTICE OF DISBARMENT Case No. 11-95-RD Notice Issued: April 23, 2013

Michael R. Carithers, Jr., P 45614, Southfield, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board TriĀ County Hearing Panel #63.

1 . Disbarred 2. Effective Aug ust 17, 2011 In a reciprocal discipline proceeding under MCR 9.120(C), the Grievance Administratorfiled a Petition for Order to Show Cause, accompanied by a certified copy of the Opinion and Order of the Court ofAppeals of Maryland, in Attorney Grievance Commission ofMaryland v Michael Robert Carithers, Jr., Misc. Docket No. AG 18, September Term 2010, disbarring respondent's license to practice law in the State of Maryland, effective August 17, 2011. The panel found that respondent was afforded due process of law in the course of the original proceeding and that respondent had failed to persuade the panel that the imposition of comparable discipline in Michigan would be clearly inappropriate.

The panel ordered that respondent be disbarred from the practice of law in Michigan, retroactive to August 17, 2011, the date of his disbarment from the practice of law in Maryland. Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,079.08.
