1 . Revocation 2. Effective August 9, 2011 1 Respondent stipulated to an interim suspension of his license to practice law, effective November 10, 2010, but subsequently failed to file an answer to the formal complaint or the amended formal complaint, and failed to appear at the public hearing.

Based on respondent's default, the panel found that respondent committed professional misconduct by failing to notify a client that he had received funds in which the client had an interest; failing to preserve complete records of such account funds; failing to promptly payor deliver funds that a client is entitled to receive; failing to hold property of clients separate from the lawyers own property; commingling personal funds with client trust funds; asserting frivolous issue in a proceeding; knowingly making a false statement to a court; abandoning a client's legal matter; failing to act with reasonable diligence in the representation of a client; failing to keep a client reasonably informed regarding the status of a matter; failing to deposit legal fees paid in advance into a client trust account; and failing to promptly refund unearned legal fees upon the termination of his representation.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(3) and (5); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 ; 1.1 (c); 1.3; 1.4( a); 1.15(b)( 1) -(3); 1.15(d ) and (f); 1_16( d); 3.1; 3.3(a)(1); and B.4(a) and (b).

The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be revoked, effective August 9,2011, and assessed costs in the amount of $2,520.35.
