NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

Case Nos. 20-73-AI; 20-85-JC Notice Issued: June 8, 2021 Susan Elizabeth Wright, P 71642, Paw Paw, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Kalamazoo County Hearing Panel #4.

Suspension - 180 Days, Effective June 4, 2021 1 Respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a Stipulation for Consent Order of Discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contained respondent’s admission that she was convicted by guilty plea to the felony crimes of (1) misprison of a felony, in violation of 18 USC 4, and (2) adulteration of medical devises, in violation of 18 USC 331(k) and 18 USC 333(a)(1), in United States of America v Susan Elizabeth Wright, US District Court Western District of Michigan Case No. 1:20-cr-52-JTN. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent’s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended effective June 1, 2020, the date of her felony conviction.

Based on respondent’s admissions and the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel found that respondent engaged in conduct that violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, an ordinance, or tribal law pursuant to MCR 2.615, in violation of MCR 9.104(5)

In accordance with the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent’s license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 180 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $890.00.
