NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

Case Nos. 10-58-AI; 10-103-JC; 11-45-GA Notice Issued: November 28, 2011 Nancy Kelleen Zednik, P 53061, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board TriĀ­ County Hearing Panel #23.

1. Suspension - Two Years 2. Effective May 13, 20101 Respondent was convicted in the Oakland County Circuit Court of NSF Check - $500 or More, a felony, in violation of MCl 750.1313(3)(c). In accordance with MCR 9.120(8)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan is suspended effective May 13, 2010, the date of her felony conviction. The Grievance Administrator filed a judgment of conviction on September 15, 2010; and Formal Complaint 11-45-GA on April 6, 2011, which were consolidated for hearing based on the Grievance Administrator's motion.

On August 31, 2011, the parties filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline which contained respondent's admission that she was convicted of the felony of NSF check $500.00 or more, contrary to MCl 750.131 (3)(c); and her plea of no contest to the allegations in Formal Complaint 11-45-GA that she practiced law during the period of a disciplinary suspension; held herself out as an attorney to a court and to a party during a period of diSCiplinary suspension; and engaged in the unauthorized practice of law. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(2)-(5); MCR 9.119(E)(1 )-(3); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 5.5(a); and 8.4(c).

Based upon that stipulation, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years, retroactive to May 13, 2010, the date of respondent's felony conviction. Costs were assessed in the amount of $961.32.
