1. Reprimand 2. Effective April 29, 2011 Based on respondent's plea of nolo contendere and the evidence presented, the hearing panel found that respondent failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make an informed decision regarding the representation.
Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(2) and (4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(b) and 8.4(a).
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and pay restitution in the amount of $1,500.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,013.89.
