Effective December 28,20101 The respondent did not appear at the public hearing and was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on that default, the panel found that respondent neglected a legal matter entrusted to him; failed to seek the lawful objectives of a client through reasonably available means permitted by law; failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client; failed to promptly comply with a client's reasonable requests for information; failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to

make informed decisions regarding the representation; failed to refund any advance payment of fees that have not been earned upon termination of representation; failed to promptly render a full accounting of funds in which a client is entitled; and failed to answer a request for investigation

within the time permitted.

Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(4); MCR 9.113(B )(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 1.15(b )(3); 1.16(d); 8.4(a) and (c);

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be revoked and that he pay restitution in the amount of $1,150.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,695.44.
