1. Reprimand 2. . Effective September 8,2010 The respondent appeared at the hearing and filed an answer to the formal complaint. The hearing panel found that, in a criminal matter, respondent failed to refund the unearned portion of an advance fee, in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.16(d).
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and pay restitution in the amount of $5,000.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,874.57.
