Case No. 10-31-GA Notice Issued: August 11, 2010 Thomas T. Jakuc, P 15426, Warren, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #104.
1_ Reprimand 2. Effective August 11, 2010 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contains respondent's plea of no contest to the allegations that he represented a client when the representation was materially limited by his own interests; and that he prepared an instrument giving him a sUbstantial testamentary gift from a client to which he was not related. Respondents conduct was alleged to be in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.7(b) and 1.8(c).
Based upon the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $792.98.
