Case No. 10-1-JC Notice Issued: June 30, 2010 Barry L. Shantz, P 29933, Mio, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-Valley Hearing Panel #2.
1. Reprimand 2. Effective June 25, 2010 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The stipulation contains respondent's admission that he was convicted of operating while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, in the 81st District Court, in violation of MCl 257.625(1 )(a). Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(5).
Based upon the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and be subject to conditions relevant to the admitted misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $755.71.
