NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 09-7B-GA Notice Issued: June 30, 2010

1. Suspension - 2 Years 2. Effective June 25, 20101 The hearing panel found that respondent, in three matters, failed to notify his clients of his suspension, in writing, within seven days of the effective date of his suspension. In two of those

matters, respondent failed to file a notice of his disqualification in all tribunals where he was representing a client in litigation by the effective date of his suspension. In a fourth matter, respondent failed to refund the unearned portion of an advance fee upon termination of

representation. Finally, respondent failed to answerfour separate requests for investigation served upon him by the Grievance Administrator.

Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(2)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); MCR 9.119(A) and (B); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.16(d) and B.4(a).

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years and that he 'pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $2,400.00. Costs were assessed

in the amount of $3,726.15.
