Suspension - 179 Days Effective July 12, 20101

Automatic Reinstatement Effective June 3, 2011

The hearing panel found that respondent was convicted, in the Oakland County Circuit Court, of two counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, both felonies, in violation of MCL 752.796. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(5).

The panel ordered the respondent's license to practice law be suspended for 179 days, retroactive to July 12, 2010. On May 26, 2011, the Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review, seeking an increase in discipline. After review, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hearing panel's order on October 11, 2011. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $3,522.80.

In accordance with MCR 9.123(A), the suspension was terminated with the respondent's filing of an affidavit of compliance on June 3, 2011.
