Effective March 25, 2010 The hearing panel found that respondent committed professional misconduct by failing to appropriately identify and safeguard third-person property; and misappropriating money held in trust, in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(2) and (3); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15; and 8.4(a)-(c).
The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years and that he pay restitution in the amount of $56,000.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,285.92.
