NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 09-57-GA Notice Issued: January 4,2010

1. Slispension - 180 Days 2. Effective December 29, 2009 Respondent failed to appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for failing to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on that default, the hearing panel found that respondent failed to answer a request for investigation, served upon him by the Grievance Administrator, in

violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1), (2) and (7); MCR 9.113; and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1 (a)(2); and 8.4(a) and (c).

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 180 days and assessed costs in the amount of $1 ,676.73.
