NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 09-25-GA Notice Issued: September 10,2009 Neftara O. Clark, P 67205, Lansing, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #7.

1. Suspension - One Year 2. Effective September 4, 2009 Respondent did not appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for failing to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based' on respondent's default, the panel found that respondent neglected a legal matter; failed to act with reasonable diligence/promptness; failed to keep a client reasonably informed and to comply promptly with reasonable requests for information; failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit a client to make informed decisions; failed to take reasonable steps to protect a client's interests upon termination of representation; knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal; knowingly failed to respond to a lawful demand for information; and failed to answer a request for information. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113; MCR 9.115(0); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (c); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 1.16(d); 3.4(c); 8.1 (a)(2);

and 8.4(a).

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for one year and that she pay restitution in the amount of $2,950.50. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,921.29.
