NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

Case Nos. 09-85-AI; 09-102-JC Notice Issued: May 11, 2010

Joel H. Goodman, P 29766, Lansing, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #2.

1. Suspension - 3 Years 2. Effective September 1,2009 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5) which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. Respondent agreed that he pled guilty in the Ingham County Circuit Court to two counts of Uttering & Publishing, in violation of MCL 750.249. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan is suspended effective September 1, 2009, the date of his felony conviction. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(5).

Based upon the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for three years, retroactive to September 1,2009, the date of respondent's conviction. Costs were assessed in the amount of $922.80.
