Case No. 08-157-JC Notice Issued: May 21,2009 Vicky l. Smith, P 65567, Interlochen, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Grand Traverse County Hearing Panel #2.
1. Suspension - 179 Days 2. Effective May 21 , 2009 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. Respondent admitted that she was convicted, by no contest plea, of attempted eavesdropping/divulging information, a misdemeanor, in violation of MCl 750-53ge on June 16, 2008. Respondent was charged with a violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(5).
The parties agreed that respondent should be suspended for 179 days and that she should be subject to a condition relevant to the admitted misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $911.66.
