1. Revocation 2. Effective May 7, 2009 1 Respondent pled guilty to one count of False Pretenses over $20,000.00, a felony, in violation of MCl 750.2185(a). In accordance with MCR 9.120(8)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on January 5, 2009, the date of his felony conviction.
A discipline proceeding was instituted by the Grievance Administrator in accordance with MeR 9.120(8)(3). On March 26, 2009, in accordance with MeR 9.115(M), respondent filed a petition for an order allowing his resignation while a discipline charge or investigation is pending. Respondent's request was accepted by the 80ard and an order revoking his license to practice law in Michigan was entered effective May 7,2009. Costs were assessed in the amount of $494.97.
