1. Reprimand 2. Effective July 17, 2008 The respondent appeared at the hearing and filed an answer to the formal complaint. Based on respondent's admissions at the hearing, the panel found that respondent neglected his client's matter; failed to keep his client reasonably informed about the status of his matter; and failed to timely surrender his client's file despite repeated requests that he do so.
Respondent's conduct was in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (c); 1.4(a); and 1.16(d).
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and pay costs in the amount of $1,685.77.
