Kilpatrick, P 60494 Effective September 4,2008 Respondent pled guilty in the Wayne County Circuit Court to two counts of obstruction of justice by lying under oath in a deposition and civil trial, both felonies; and one count of interfering with a police office, a high misdemeanor. In accordance with MCR 9.120(8)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on September 4, 2008, the date of his felony convictions.
Upon the filing of a judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
