NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 07-148-GA Notice Issued: May 29, 2008 James L. Galen, Jr., P 43406, Clinton Township, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #101.
1. Reprimand 2. Effective May 22,2008 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. Respondent pled no contest to the allegations that he neglected a legal matter; failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client; and failed to refund any advance payment of fee that has not been earned, in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (c); 1.3; 1.16(d); and 8.4(a).
Based on the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and that he pay restitution in the amount of $500.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $766.64.
