NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 07-135-GA Notice Issued: May 14,2008

Craig W. Sanders, P 56987, Lansing, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #2.

1. Suspension - Two Years 2. Effective May 14, 2008 The respondent failed to appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on that default, the panel found that respondent neglected a legal matter entrusted to him; failed to seek the lawful objectives of a client through reasonably available means permitted by law and the rules of professional conduct; failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client; failed to keep a client reasonably informed about the status ofa matter and comply promptly with reasonable requests for information; failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation; knowingly failed to respond to a lawful demand for information from a disciplinary authority; and failed to answer a request for investigation.

Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1)-(4) and (7); MeR 9.113(A) and (8)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 8.1 (a)(2); and 8.4(a) and (c).

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years and that he pay costs in the amount of $1,995.52.
