FINAL NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 07-37-GA Notice Issued: August 21, 2008 Ronald G. Kraft, P 16196, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board, affirming Tri-County Hearing Panel #70'sorder of suspension and restitution.
1. Suspension - 48 Months 2. Effective February 21, 2008 The hearing panel found that respondent failed to keep client funds safe; misappropriated client funds; co-mingled client funds with his funds; and made false statements to a tribunal. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(1), (2), and (3); and Michigan Rules of Professional conduct 1.4(b); 1.15(a) (amended as 1.15(d)); 1.15(b) (amended as 1.15(b)(1) and (3)); 3.3(a)(1); 4.1; and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 48 months, and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $22,826.20.
The respondent filed a petition for review, along with a request for a stay of the discipline. On February 25,2008, the Attor~ey Discipline Board denied respondent's motion for a stay.
On July 22, 2008, after conducting a review hearing, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hearing panel's January 30, 2008 order of suspension and restitution. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $5,873.56.
