NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No.07-140-GA Notice Issued: January 18, 2008 Brian M. Seelye, P 64531, Boyne City, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Otsego County Hearing Panel #1.

1. Suspension - 270 Days 2. Effective January 17, 2008 The respondent failed to appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint. The panel found that respondent gave assurances to his employer that that a motion in a pending civil matter was filed, heard and granted and, despite respondent's time billings for the represented work, nothing was actually done in the matter. Respondent was also found to have reported that work as having been done in a driver's license restoration matter, when, like the first matter, it had been ignored.

The panel found that respondent's conduct was in violation of Michigan Court Rules 9.1 04(A)(1 )-(4) and (7); 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 4.1; 8.4(a)-(c).

The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 270 days. Costs were assessed in the total amount of $1,737.42.
