NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (PENDING DETERMINATION OF RESTITUTION) (By Consent)

Case No. 07-39-GA Notice Issued: August 23, 2007 Pamela C. Montgomery, P 66348, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #13.

1. Suspension - 2 Years 2. Effective August 7,2007 The respondent and Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing respondent's plea of no contest to the

allegations that she neglected three matters, failed to keep her clients reasonably informed about the status of their cases; and failed to explain the matters to her clients to the extent necessary to permit them to make informed decisions regarding their representation. In two matters, respondent pled no contest to the allegations that she failed to safeguard client funds in her client trust account; failed to promptly deliver funds belonging to her clients; and misappropriated funds belonging to her clients.

Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of Michigan Court Rules 9.1 04(A)(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 1.15(a) and (b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

In accordance with the stipulation approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission, the panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for two years and pay restitution, which amount has yet to be determined. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,340.52.
