NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION WITH CONDITION

Case No. 06-175-GA Notice Issued: May 23,2007 Keino D. Campbell, P 64409, Ferndale, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri- County Hearing Panel #73.

1. Suspension - 1 Year 2. Effective May 16, 2007 The respondent failed to appear at the hearing and was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint. Based on that default, the panel found that respondent, practiced law in Colorado when he was not admitted to practice in that jurisdiction; neglected one divorce matter; and, in a second divorce matter, failed to properly serve the complaint and summons, filed the complaint under the wrong case code; failed to appear at a settlement conference and a motion hearing; and failed to return his client's calls. Respondent was also found to have failed to answer four requests for investigation served upon him by the Grievance Administration.

Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(I )-(4) and (7); MCR 9.1 13(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct I .I ( a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1. I6 (d); 5.5(a); 8. I( a)(2); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice in Michigan be suspended for one year, and that he be subject to a condition relevant to the established misconduct. The panel also ordered respondent to pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $1 ,I8 0.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,775.09.
