Effective February 2, 2007 The Grievance Administrator filed a three count complaint which alleged that respondent, while suspended from the practice of law, filed or caused to be filed a witness list in a civil matter; failed to notify his client, the tribunal or opposing counsel of his suspension; and failed to withdraw from representation.
Upon motion by the respondent, the hearing panel dismissed the allegation that respondent filed or caused to be filed a witness list in the civil matter, but found that respondent failed to notify his client, the tribunal and opposing counsel of his suspension from the practice law; and failed to withdraw from his representation. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(4); MCR 9.119(A) and (B); and Michigan Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(a).,
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and assessed costs in the amount of $2,431.77.
