NOTICE OF REPRIMAND WITH CONDITION (By Consent)

1. Reprimand 2. Effective December 14, 2006 The parties filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline, pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5), which contained respondent=s admissions that, in an adoption matter, she neglected a legal matter entrusted to her; failed to seek the lawful objectives of her client through reasonably available means permitted by law and these rules; failed to keep her client reasonably informed about the status of the matter and comply promptly with reasonable requests for information; and failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit her client to make informed decisions regarding the representation. In a landlord/tenant matter, respondent admitted that she failed to keep her client reasonably informed about the status of the matter and failed to notify her client promptly of all settlement offers; and failed to explain the matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit her client to make informed decisions regarding the representation.

Respondent=s conduct was in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.2(a); and 1.4(a) and (b).

The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded and imposed a condition relevant to the admitted misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $786.35.
