1. Reprimand 2. Effective December 12, 2006 The parties filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline, pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5), which contained respondent=s admission that, in a bankruptcy matter, he failed to diligently pursue the representation of his client; failed to maintain reasonable communications with his client; and engaged in conduct involving dishonesty and misrepresentation, by telling his client that pleadings had been filed when they had not been. Respondent=s conduct was in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3; 1.4; and 8.4(b).
The parties agreed that respondent should be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $774.65.
