NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC INTERIM SUSPENSION Case Nos. 07-19-AI; 07-21-JC Notice Issued: January 26, 2007

Philip M. Stoffan, P 49839, Muskegon, Michigan. Effective December 1, 2006. Respondent=s plea of guilty to a violation of 18 USC _1341 (Mail Fraud), was accepted in the United States District Court, Western District of Michigan, Southern Division, on December 1, 2006. Based upon the acceptance of his guilty plea, and in accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on that date.

The Grievance Administrator has filed a judgment of conviction and this matter has been assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
