Effective October 19, 2006 Respondent was convicted October 19, 2006 in the Cook County Circuit Court, Chicago, Illinois for false personation of a lawyer, a felony, in violation of MCL 720-5/32-5(a). In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondents license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of the felony conviction. The Grievance Administrator has filed a judgment of conviction and this matter has been assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
