On September 7, 2006, respondent was convicted in the Oakland County Circuit Court of two counts of Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material, a felony, in violation of MCL 750.145c(4); and two counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, a felony, in violation of MCL 752.796 and MCL 752.797(3)(c). In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of that felony conviction.
Upon the filing of a judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
