On November 1, 2006, respondent was convicted of felony embezzlement of commodity pool funds, in violation of 7 USC 13(a)(1), in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of that felony conviction.
The Grievance Administrator has filed a judgment of conviction and this matter has been assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
