NOTICE OF SUSPENSION WITH CONDITIONS Case No. 06-62-JC Notice Issued: October 23, 2006

1. Suspension - 120 days 2. Effective August 9, 2006 On February 26, 2003, respondent was convicted for disorderly conduct/fighting and placed on probation, which he violated when he tested positive for a controlled substance. Based on this conviction, respondent entered into a contractual probation agreement with the Attorney Grievance Commission, which required that respondent be monitored by Western Michigan Addiction Consultants (WeMac) and refrain from conduct which could lead to further discipline. On November 10, 2004, respondent was convicted for taking property under false pretenses. His contractual probation was extended and on February 28, 2006, WeMac provided notice that respondent had relapsed in his addiction.

The Grievance Administrator filed a Notice of Judgment of Conviction and an Order to Show Cause was issued. At the public hearing on August 2, 2006, respondent freely acknowledged that the allegations contained in the Judgment of Conviction were true.

Based on respondent=s admissions, the hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 120 days, with conditions relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,875.73.
