NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION Case No. 06-17-GA Notice Issued: August 14, 2006 Reginald Bussey, P 65864, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #12.

1. Suspension - 3 Years 2. Effective August 9, 2006 Respondent was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint or to appear at the public hearing. Based on that default, the hearing panel found that respondent, in three matters, neglected the matters; failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness; failed to keep his clients reasonably informed about the status of their matters; failed to comply promptly with requests for information; failed to surrender papers and documents to which his clients were entitled; and knowingly failed to respond to lawful demands for information form the Grievance Administrator. In two of those matters, respondent failed to return or otherwise refund any portion of the retainer fees paid to him; and failed to make reasonable efforts to expedite litigation consistent with the interests of his clients.

Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MC 9.104(A)(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1.16(d); 3.2; 8.1(a)(2); and 8.4(a). The hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice in Michigan be suspended for three years, effective August 9, 2006, and that he pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $3,900.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,707.79.
