NOTICE OF REVOCATION (By Consent) Case Nos. 06-88-Al; 06-15 9-JC Notice Issued: May 15,2007

# I .

Michael S. Centala, P 62529, Rogers City, Michigan, by the Emmet County Hearing Panel

1. Revocation 2. Effective July 18, 2006. On July 18, 2006, respondent pled nolo contendere in the Alpena County Circuit Court to assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct in the second degree, a felony, in violation of MCL 750.520(g)(2). In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(I), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of that felony conviction. On March 23, 2007, the Grievance Administrator filed a certified copy of the judgment of conviction pursuant to MCR 9.120(B)(3). In accordance with that rule, the Attorney Discipline Board ordered respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. Based on respondent's conviction, the Grievance Administrator and respondent submitted a stipulation for consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), containing respondent's plea of nolo contendere to the action in the Alpena Circuit Court. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(5). The parties agreed that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be revoked, retroactive to July 18,2006, the date of his felony conviction. The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. Costs were assessed in the amount of $852.90.
