Based on respondent's felony conviction in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan of Attempt to Evade and Defeat the Payment of Tax, in violation of USC 26 §7201, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 24 months, retroactive to August 17,2006, the date of his felony conviction. Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.1 04(A)(5). Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,839.93.
