On April 6, 2020, the Board issued an Order Denying Respondent’s Motion for Reconsideration of their February 4, 2020 Order Affirming Hearing Panel Order of 60-Day Suspension and Restitution. The Board’s order denying the motion for reconsideration ordered that respondent’s license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 60 days, effective May 5, 2020.
On June 26, 2020, respondent, Scott D. Norton, submitted an affidavit pursuant to MCR 9.123(A), showing that he has fully complied with all requirements of the Order Denying Respondent’s Motion for Reconsideration. The Grievance Administrator had no objection to the affidavit. The Board being otherwise advised;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that respondent, Scott D. Norton, P 35717, is REINSTATED to the practice of law in Michigan effective July 4, 2020.
