NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (Pending Appeal)

1. Suspension - 120 Days 2. Effective June 6, 2006 The respondent was found to be in default for his failure to file an answer to the formal complaint or appear at the hearing. Based on that default, the hearing panel found that respondent failed to answer a request for investigation; failed to respond to a lawful demand for information from a disciplinary authority; and made a false statement of material fact in connection with a disciplinary matter. Respondent=s conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(2)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1(a)(1) and (2); and 8.4(a) and (b). The panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice in Michigan be suspended for 120 days.
On June 2, 2006, the Grievance Administrator filed a timely conditional petition for review which will be scheduled for hearing before the Attorney Discipline Board.
