Suspension - 179 days Effective August 23, 2005

Based on respondent=s conviction of theft of government property, a misdemeanor, in violation of 18 U.S.C. '641, in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, the hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 179 days with a condition relevant to the established misconduct.

Respondent filed a timely petition for review along with a request for a stay of discipline which was granted by the Attorney Discipline Board. The Grievance Administrator filed a cross-petition for review and the matter was scheduled for a review hearing. On July 25, 2005, the Attorney Discipline Board issued its order affirming the Tri-County Hearing Panel #71's order of suspension with condition. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $1,894.12.
