NOTICE OF REVOCATION Case No. 04-139-MZ (Ref. 01-54-GA)

Notice Issued: June 20, 2005 Jonathan M. Hilts, P 31435, Dearborn, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #19.

1. Revocation 2. Effective June 18, 2005 1 The Grievance Administrator filed a petition on November 1, 2004 seeking entry of an order increasing discipline for respondent's failure to comply with the hearing panel's order of July 9, 2001; specifically, that respondent, without having petitioned for reinstatement, practiced law by placing his appearance on the record on behalf of the plaintiff in a landlord-tenant matter. The respondent also failed to pay the costs assessed in the prior matter, Grievance Administrator v Jonathan M. Hilts, Case No. 01-54-GA. The respondent did not file an answer nor did he appear at the show cause hearing held on March 21, 2005. Based upon the evidence submitted by the Grievance Administrator, the panel concluded that respondent, in violation of MCR 9.104(A)(9), had not complied with its previous order.

The hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law be revoked. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,644.30.

1 Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since July 31, 2001. See Notice of Suspension (With Condition) issued August 2, 2001.
