NOTICE OF INTERIM SUSPENSION PURSUANT TO MCR 9.115(H)(2) Case No. 20-11-JC Notice Issued: May 26, 2020 Robert Kurtycz, P 71637, Kalamazoo, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Kalamazoo County Hearing Panel #4.
Interim Suspension - Effective May 21, 2020. Prior to the May 21, 2020 scheduled hearing in this matter, respondent advised the Attorney Discipline Board that he would be unable to participate in a full hearing on this matter for medical reasons. The hearing panel converted the hearing to a pre-trial teleconference in order to better accommodate respondent. Respondent failed to appear or otherwise participate in the May 21, 2020 pre-hearing teleconference.
In accordance with MCR 9.115(H)(2), the hearing panel determined that respondent’s inability to appear warranted an interim suspension from the practice of law until further order of the panel. The panel issued an order of interim suspension of respondent’s license, effective May 21, 2020.
